In the late 1990’s a private company commenced master planning ground work at Mt Peter as concerns over Cairns’ suitable residential land supply was running low. In 2007 developers and large stake holders continued the work alongside council and the State Government eventually declaring the site a State master planned area of 1800 hectares.

In July 2015 we commenced development of stages 1-3 and council infrastructure resulting in 125 Lots, 2 parks and a landscaped boulevard. The residential component of future stages will feature slightly elevated flat blocks with bushland reserve to the rear and fantastic views over the estate and to the mountains as the sun sets on the west. With the estate 19km from the Cairns CBD the Lots were extremely affordable finding favour with young families and first home owners and investors alike.

The estate impressed the UDIA judges who noted “Mount Peter Residential Estate is a living example of our industry’s determination, patience, and resilience in the face of extreme challenges… The site responds well to its natural settings and the housing provides a quality package for many…” (TMPC 2020) Panel Leader and UDIA Queensland CEO Kirsty Chessher-Brown said.
